When I went over to my parents the other day my Mom looked at this outfit and proclaimed I didn’t’ match. That is why I am here to tell you all that you can mix patterns. For one I feel leopard print is a neutral and can be mixed with anything. This cardigan is no exception to the rule.

This outfit consists of my favourite vintage pieces that I have acquired over the years. This dress was a wonderful find in a flea market in New York years ago. It is a special dress that you can only pull out on certain occasions. Christmas and New Years Eve parties are the perfect occasion for such a dress!

I waited a long time for this blouse to arrive at Joe Fresh. It was well worth the wait. I am thrilled to finally have it! The snakeskin print is a refreshing change from all my leopard print. Remember an animal print like this can be used as a neutral. They also have it in a yellow print which I am tempted to get too! It might just have to go on my Christmas wish list!

It is that time of year where you are probably dashing around to festive parties. The go to look for a festive party is usually a dress of some type. This is another type of look if you aren’t feeling a dress. Throw on some bright pants, fancy shoes, a detailed blouse, and you are good to go! Drink some egg nog for me!

How delighted I was when I found this old Joe Fresh sweater tucked away in my winter clothes! Adorable and festive, just what I need! Don’t you love finding old pieces in your closet you forgot about? I sure do. This might be a sign I have too many clothes. I am sure my husband would agree.

When I came out dressed like this my husband said something along the lines of how it was a Canadian lumberjack look mixed with leather. Hence the title.

My favourite part about this plaid shirt is how the cuffs are a different colour. Such a fun detail! 

Wearing this red plaid shirt makes me feel very festive! How do you dress to feel festive?

Freezing.

These pictures are from a  few weekends ago when it was absolutely freezing out. You can’t tell in these pictures but I am pretending to be warm and cozy. Dressing stylishly for the winter and the cold can be challenging. I suggest cute scarves, mitts, and lots of layers!
