When I came out dressed like this my husband said something along the lines of how it was a Canadian lumberjack look mixed with leather. Hence the title.

My favourite part about this plaid shirt is how the cuffs are a different colour. Such a fun detail!

Freezing.

These pictures are from a  few weekends ago when it was absolutely freezing out. You can’t tell in these pictures but I am pretending to be warm and cozy. Dressing stylishly for the winter and the cold can be challenging. I suggest cute scarves, mitts, and lots of layers!

Joe Fresh has some delightful festive treats in right now. These fancy pants I couldn’t resist! Wear them to a Christmas party with a silk blouse or cozy up in them with a sweater! I went the cozy route this weekend, since it was freezing cold!

One thing I like about dressing for winter is tights. Tights can add so much more to your outfit. Plus you can wear some of your summer shoes by pairing them with tights. There are a ton of places to get fun tights. There are number of places I have seen them at lately: Zara, Aritzia, Joe Fresh, Forever 21, and H&M.

I think my favourite part about this dress is that it has a vintage feel to it. The cream and lace are a perfect pair. This dress will be wonderful for layering with blazers, sweaters, and tops. If you put a shirt over top of this dress, it can make an adorable skirt.

I am into mixing different textures, prints, and fabrics together. The combo of leather, fur, and snakeskin adds depth to this outfit. If that is too much for you, try mixing a print with a solid piece such as a leather jacket.
