For some reason Edmonton is experiencing spring like weather for the last couple of weeks. I am not complaining but enjoying it by getting away without wearing tights (although I should apologize for my pasty legs). I am going to embrace it while I can because knowing Edmonton freezing weather and tons of snow will be around the corner.

This is what I wore last night for my birthday date with my husband. The dress I got as a Christmas gift, and I am excited to add it to my wardrobe! I think it will be great paired with a cozy cardigan and some boots. I also am crushing on the bright cobalt blue colour. I think bright colours are going to be a huge spring for trend, which I will gladly be embracing.

A lot of television shows I watch mostly for the costume design. One of my favourites is Gossip Girl (no surprise there). Some days I am more drawn to dressing like Blair, some days like Serena. Today I feel is a Serena day. 

I was beyond thrilled to pick up this sweater from Bamboo Ballroom the other day. It is cozy and unique. I know I will be getting a lot of wear out of it. Can’t you see it now? Paired with a knit dress and some tall boots? I can’t wait to wear it more!

When I went over to my parents the other day my Mom looked at this outfit and proclaimed I didn’t’ match. That is why I am here to tell you all that you can mix patterns. For one I feel leopard print is a neutral and can be mixed with anything. This cardigan is no exception to the rule.

You can’t go wrong with a  little black dress. Especially if it reminds you of Marc Jacobs Fall 2011 (for a fraction of the cost).
